Affordable Furniture To Go started in 1994 as New Englands largest ready to assemble furniture superstore. This was an idea created by Marvin and Larry, a father and son with over 50 years of retail experience combined. Since its inception, Marvin and Larry have welcome several other family members into the business. Joining them were Marvins daughters, Lisa and Cindy, and his son-in-laws, Steven and Joel. Thus creating a family atmosphere for all of their employees. Soon after our grand opening , the store was instantly acknowledged by several trade publications for its original concept.


The store was initially opened with 10,000 square feet, selling primarily entertainment, home office, futons, and bedroom furniture. After being in business for only 2 short years, we decided that instead of adding a second location we would increase our space at our existing store. In 1996 our store grew to 15,000 square feet. At that time we expanded into new categories such as kitchen/dining, mattresses and livingroom/family room as well as increasing our current selections. Several years had passed and our business had continued to grow. Our customers requested more! In 2002, our location grew another 10,000 feet for a total of 25,000 square feet, allowing us to broaden our livingroom/family room selection. During 2004, we grew once again, opening a new kitchen and dining showroom as well as a 10,000 sq ft addition on to our warehouse.
